FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is a Southern Cross Bulldog?
The Southern Cross Bulldog is a very new breed still in its infancy stages of development. The ideal breed percentage to maintain type is 70-80% British Bulldog. The Southern Cross Bulldog is a well boned, muscular, medium-large sized dog with a powerful build showing strength.
What is an Aussie Bulldog?
The Aussie (Australian Bulldog) was founded in the 1990's by Tina & Noel Green with the intentions of creating a Bulldog larger in appearence than a British Bulldog and smaller than a Bullmastiff, that could handle the harsh Australian climate and one that Australia could call its own. The British Bulldog and Bullmastiff were chosen as the main preference for foundation parents behind the Aussie Bulldog because of their compatability and similarities.
What does the Percentage of a Bulldog mean?
The Percentage of a Southern Cross Bulldog or an Aussie Bulldog dictates how much British Bulldog blood is in any particular dog. The desired amount for a pet should be between 75% and 87.5% for an Aussie and 61.75% and 87.5% for a Southern Cross Bulldog. If your dog is under or above these percentage it is classed as a foundation generation. The more British Bulldog blood injected into the line the more the dog will mimic and replicate that of the British Bulldog including some of the same defective issues that are apparent in the purebred British Bulldog.
How do I purchase one of Arcadian Bulldog Puppies?
Due to the high demand for our puppies we are now implementing a paid waiting list, it is a $500 non refundable deposit to go on our wait list, this deposit can be used for up and coming litters we may have and also future litters, we do not take names of interested ones and keep a list without a deposit anymore, those that go onto our paid waiting list are those that have filled out our puppy questionnaire, are selected as a good fit for our babies and are commited to owning one of our pups.
